  Materials: Camera, Lightroom, Photoshop Processes: I took the photo in the mall. I put the photo in Photoshop and separated the two sides into two different layers. I edited the the left side slightly to give it a warmer feel. I significantly edited the right side in Photoshop, removing the people, making it much darker, making the plants look dead, and changing the colors. Ideas: This photo symbolizes the death of malls and other third places which used to be bustling and lively but are now abandoned and dead. Without going to third places, people become lonely and isolated. This especially affects my generation.

Ideas: This photo represents the isolating feeling that our cities can sometimes have when everything is far away and has to be accessed by cars

I put on a blur filter in Photoshop and edited it slightly in Lightroom. Ideas: I thought this photo would be cool with the high contrast, and it relates to the idea of being all alone when you are stuck on your phone.

  Materials: iPhone Camera, Lightroom Processes: I took a photo of my subject smiling with makeup on and neat hair. I edited the photo and put it on a tablet. My subject held the tablet up to her face, but she had messy hair and smeared makeup. Ideas: This is supposed to represent a fake persona she puts on social media. Her life looks so put together and she looks beautiful, but in reality she is concealing her true feelings and emotions, leading to loneliness and unhappiness.
