Materials: iPhone Camera, Lightroom, Photoshop Processes: I went out into the street and took a photo of my subject under the street light. I put on a blur filter in Photoshop and edited it slightly in Lightroom. Ideas: I thought this photo would be cool with the high contrast, and it relates to the idea of being all alone when you are stuck on your phone.

Materials: iPhone Camera, Lightroom Processes: I took a photo of my subject smiling with makeup on and neat hair. I edited the photo and put it on a tablet. My subject held the tablet up to her face, but she had messy hair and smeared makeup. Ideas: This is supposed to represent a fake persona she puts on social media. Her life looks so put together and she looks beautiful, but in reality she is concealing her true feelings and emotions, leading to loneliness and unhappiness.

Materials: iPhone Camera, Lightroom Processes: I found a picture of a zoom call on Google and took a photo of me staring into it, editing it in Lightroom. Ideas: This shows the isolation and depression many faced when we had to interact with others digitally instead of in person during the pandemic.

Materials: iPhone Camera, Photoshop Processes: I’m going to take a picture of two people looking at their phones and then going to put it in photoshop and smudge the face into the phone. Ideas: This shows how we are so consumed in our phones that we don’t interact with other people.
